What is a Home Care Package (HCP)?

The Home Care Packages are affordable care services, subsidised by the Australian government, to help older (or less able-bodied) Australians. It provides funds that can be used to access care services and other approved inclusions. The Home Care Package is open to all those above 65 years old who want to stay at home while still receiving appropriate care.

There are four different levels of Home Care Packages. Each provides a portion of funding which can be used to access home care services, or other support appropriate to your needs.

  • LEVEL 1 – Basic care
  • LEVEL 2 – Low-level care
  • LEVEL 3 – Intermediate care
  • LEVEL 4 – High-level care
